Prospect.1 New Orleans
In conjunction with the November 1, 2008 opening of Prospect.1, the largest biennial of international and contemporary art ever organized in the United States, Hypersoul produced the musical components for a series of events to launch the ten-week period of citywide exhibitions representing more than 80 international artists. During the opening weekend, which included the official Prospect.1 press conference, second lines, a VIP Patron Party and an All Night Dance Party, Hypersoul showcased some of New Orleans’ favorite entertainers to celebrate the congregation of artists, tourists, media and members of the local arts and cultural community in New Orleans.

According to the official Prospect.1 website, thousands of statewide, national and international art lovers were anticipated to flock to New Orleans for the November opening of exhibitions featured among 100,000 square feet of spaces across the city. While the visual arts of Prospect.1 represented artistic styles from around the globe, Hypersoul strived to offer visiting art lovers a peek into the unique cultural arts of New Orleans by producing memorable musical events in classic Crescent City venues.
