Sasha Masakowski

Since beginning her career as a professional jazz musician in her early 20s, Sasha Masakowski has received vast acclaim from critics, fellow musicians, and general audiences alike throughout the U.S. and abroad. She has a cutting-edge, sophisticated style that draws from influences of iconic jazz masters such as Wayne Shorter, Milton Nascimento and Flora Purim to name a few.  Masakowski explores many sub-genres of jazz music to help cultivate this exotic style; from Brazilian music to experimental free-jazz to electro/rock to traditional jazz which has earned her a reputation as a daring, fearless improviser and charming, creative interpreter.

A jazz vocalist with as much style as talent, Sasha has performed at various festivals including French Quarter Festival, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Telluride Jazz Festival. On the international stage Sasha spent 4 months holding court at the jazz lounge of a luxury hotel in Beijing, China.  Sasha also won over the hearts of NYC during her month-long residency at ZirZamin.
